Blake Lively and Chloe Moretz were among the stars who came out Thursday night to celebrate the launch of Jason Wu’s collection for Target in New York. Both the “Gossip Girl” star and the “Hugo” actress donned black-and-white ensembles for the party. Both donned items from Wu’s collaboration with the bargain retailer – Lively wore a black trench coat with lace trim from the line over her dress, while Moretz chose a sheer, long-sleeved top with a black bow and pleated skirt.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Blake Lively, and the rest of the GG crew celebrated the very important occasion (sure to be a national holiday by next year) with a ceremony on the Gossip Girl set in Queens, NY, on Thursday. After the ceremony, Lively hit up the Jason Wu for Target launch party dressed in a flirty black and white cocktail dress. The famous designer has created a line of affordable (and very cute!) pieces exclusively for the store.

Monday night marks Gossip Girl's 100th episode, which will feature Blair's highly anticipated wedding day. According to executive producer Josh Safran, the final scene of the milestone episode will include a moment that will make fans "gasp."

“What we can say is that why we made that decision will become clear with future episodes because, obviously, you’ll learn more about why that has happened, how that has happened," Safran told Entertainment Weekly. "You see, it was such an easy decision… It wasn’t something we belabored over or had long discussions about. It really wasn’t.”

Mayor Bloomberg loves loves loves it when TV shows and movies are filmed in New York. No surprise then that Thursday Hizzoner bestowed an unusual honor upon one Gotham-based program– proclaiming January 26th in New York Gossip Girl Day, in celebration of the show’s 100th episode.

And for a show fixated on the swanky lives of the decidedly 1 percent, actor and heartthrob Penn Badgley ‘occupied’ the stage at the presser for the award Thursday, wearing a “We are the 99 percent” t-shirt.

Word on the street is that Blake Lively’s casting in Steven Soderbergh’s new flick, The Side Effects, caused a film studio to back out from working on the movie. Huffington Post reports that Annapurna, the studio, has no faith in Blake carrying the movie — Blake’s character is a pill-addicted woman who’s in the center of a love triangle. If this is true, the studio made the right decision! Blake couldn’t act her way out of a paperbag!
