All it took was some guts, a video camera, the interwebs, and a bet for Sergeant Scott Moore to win a date with Mila Kunis to the Marine Corps Ball this week. And, over the summer a bunch of other stars got invited to similar events all over the country – from Miley Cyrus to Betty White. So far, Justin Timberlake and Ms. Kunis have both followed through and loved their evening with the Marines. Check out which other stars might be getting fancy at a Marine Corps. Ball near you.
Go With Me Mila:
Invitee: Sgt. Scott Moore
Dream Date: Mila Kunis
Mila Kunis at the Marine Corps. Ball (via Cpl. Johnny Merkley) Response: Mila announced that she'd gladly attend the November ball with Moore during a press interview for her flick Friends with Benefits over the summer, with a little prodding from her co-star Justin Timberlake. "Have you seen this? Have you heard about this? You need to do it for your country," he told her.
Moore said his initial reaction was "disbelief" and added, "I do feel bad for putting her on the spot, but it’s not like I was going to bump into her on the streets of Musa Qal’eh between now and the ball.”
The actress attended the ball in Greenville, North Carolina Friday night and sources said,
“Everything went well. It was a great experience for everybody."
Go With Me Justin:
Invitee: Kelsey De Santis
Dream Date: Justin Timberlake
Response: After JT prodded Mila to go to the ball, it was only fitting that he soon got an invite of his own. He joked: "I'll tell you what: I accept. But not because she shouted out one of my songs, which I do love," he joked (De Santis referenced his hit "Cry Me A River" in her video invite). "And not because she had all those beefcake military guys behind her to intimidate me."
Timberlake wrote a heartfelt blog post about his time at the ball. He wrote in part: To all of you that serve every day for us… Ensuring our freedom, I say: My deepest gratitude to you. I've met so many of my heroes… From Michael Jordan to Michael Jackson. And, nothing makes me feel more honor and pride than when I get to meet one of you. Last night changed my life and I will never forget it."Go with me Kristin:

Invitee: Lance Cpl. Jonathan Burkett
Dream Date: Kristin Cavallari
Response: Ms. Cavallari gladly accepted after being invited on Twitter over the summer (he didn't have access to a video camera at the time). She attended the ball on November 18 at the Pechanga Casino and Resort in Temecula, Calif. She was among the 1,600 Marines and their dates at the event.
Burkett tweeted to Cavallari's beau after the event: "@JayCutler6 hey man glad she was able to come! You have an awesome gf and hopefully wife!"
"Thanks man," Cutler replied. "She is the best. We appreciate all your sacrifices. Let me know if I can ever help with anything."
Go with me Betty:
Invitee: Sgt. Ray Lewis
Dream Date: Betty White
Response: Regretfully Decline. Although Sgt. Lewis flattered the 89-year-old by saying "she's funny, she's sweet, she's mature. She's the all-around perfect woman," the actress has prior commitments. She replied in a statement: "I am deeply flattered and truly appreciate the invitation, as everyone knows I love a man in uniform. But unfortunately I cannot accept, as I will be taping an episode of Hot In Cleveland. Love, Betty White."
Linda Will Go With You:
Invitee: Linda Hamilton
Dream Date: Sgt. Ray Lewis
Response: Terminator actress Linda Hamilton eased Sgt. Lewis' disappointment over being turned down by Betty White and volunteered to go to the ball instead! She created her own YouTube invite and said: "Rumor has it that you like your actresses vintage. Look, I know that I am no Betty White, but I would be really, really thrilled – if you can't find anybody else, and I know that's unlikely – to go to the ball with you. I could go!"
Go with Me Scarlett:
Invitee: Sgt. Dustin L. Williams
Dream Date: Scarlett Johansson
Response: Scarlett regretfully declined, but sent some bubbly in her place. The actress said in a statement: "I feel incredibly honored to have been invited to the Marine Corps Ball by Sgt. Dustin L. Williams. Not only does Sgt. Williams deserve recognition for his bravery, selflessness and dedication to the United States and its people, but he also displays a cheeky talent for film making. Sgt. Williams, unfortunately due to prior commitments I will not be able to attend the Ball with you this year but I am sending you a case of Moet and Chandon with gratitude. In my absence, I raise a glass to you and all the men and women of the U.S. Marine Corps, past and present, in thanks for your continued commitment to preserving the safety of our nation."
