I am thinking of switching the company and look for new job. I am not sure how this will work when I am on EAD and not expecting my GC to come soon as my priority date (EB3) is March 2005.
Possibly the new job will not be 100% aligned with the job desc that was put during the LC.

Do any one can help me guide what are my options?

what do they mean with "USCIS expects to provide in time-compliance for receipting of form types listed below:" and then lists the date 7/18/07 for I-485 in Nebraska Service Centre.

I filed my I-485 on 06/25/07 (my PD is March 04). I have not yet received any confirmation, receipt or anything else from my application. I just hope that my application did not end up with the July applications.

Is yours EB2?

Receipting is slow in NSC, I am not sure how, that is where I am confused. There are chances that cases could be transferred to TSC.

Last year I had to get up close and use a 50mm 1.8 lense with the d200 due to the poor lighting. I am hoping that I will be able to use the 70-200 2.8vr lense along with the d300. I have to stay a bit behind in the technology, so that I can afford new equipment Who knows maybe I’ll be able to pay for a good chunk of it with sales from the event

I hope that it performs better in the high iso ranges as I have read.

I left the job last month as I was getting better opportunity. I gave notice period to my employer and he was being cool at that time but then I did not get salary credited in my account for last month when I called my employer and inquired about that, he said he has some dues invoices to client and can not pay until he gets money from client. Can you please suggest me what should I do in this case? My employer said it will take 3-4 months to get those invoices clear.

Please see I am on H1B and never been on bench or out of status.

We are left with 5 or 6 working days this month (and this year). Is anybody expecting last minute 485 approvals in this 5 or 6 days? Any unused visas in all categories should be used in coming few days. Let�s see what USCIS going to do with these unused visas. Some people are getting soft LUD�s on their 485�s in last few days, including me.

From 1998 – till date, How many times EB3 priority dates were made current

Since nobody attempted to answer your question, let me give a try.

The answer depends on what is the EB3-PD ? If someone (like me) had a PD of 2001 , then it would have become current more than a couple of times. Just in the last two years my PD became current thrice (including July Fiasco), and am still waiting for my approval.

But if you are asking how many times did EVERYONE became current, then possibly only once (The July ’07 fiasco). I can tell this for sure since 2000. I am not aware of any info before that year.

And I put a context around it by saying"assuming i do not have all of my I797s and I94s". What I meant was "in the case I do not have all of my prior I797s and I94s"

No need to worry. Keep all the documents – paystubs – visa stamps etc since your last entry. Thats all uscis asks.

For every IV member that gets their GC, would it be too much to ask them to contribute say at least $100/- ? May be this can become a norm and the starting point for an "IV Alumni"

The folks who will be getting their GC’s in the next 2 months can show the way – Along with posting the happy news that you got your GC and of course posting your RD and ND and PD and the fact whether you had AC21 or EAD or whatever , will it be too much to give something back to the community that helped you all the way?

I think this would be a noble gesture in support of this organization that has supported the cause of lots and lots of employment based immigrants.

Like everyone here, my PD is also current. My H1b is expiring in the last-week of Nov this year (2007). If I file for 485/EAD etc. in early July. Do I need to extend my H1b? How long does it take to get the EAD? What if, if I do not receive the EAD before Nov ?

It may be a common thing – swaying away from EB3 to Eb2 for earlier PD holders and there by choking up some EB2 space but shouldn’t that cause loosening ( i’m not talking substantial ) in EB3 Priority Date ?

I mean EB3 India Priority Dates seems to have a Coma and that always hover around Aug/Oct 2001 – for last few years its like , it moves like some months and then scrolls down.

As long as you are still doing S/W related job, don’t worry about VB , C# or Java etc …I myself used AC21 rule to change the job and got GC in September.. I know a lot of ppl got GC after using AC21. Most of the ppl, I know (including me) did not inform USCIS about AC21. Ron Gotcher was my attorney and according to him, sending AC21 documents might complicate the case. Also, he informed me that AC21 rule is practiced in a very liberal way by the USCIS … so don’t worry …
