Trailer of the Week
The Campaign
"My hair could lift a car off a baby if it had to." The inevitable pairing of Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis has come to fruition in the form of a batshit crazy campaign film that will allow both actors to go off as only they know how. Set for an August 10th release date, The Campaign pits Ferrell and Galifianakis against each other as adversarial North Carolina politicians in time for the real-life presidential election. if you love either or both of these guys, it's doubtful this one will disappoint. Ferrell was the first comic to display the kind of random, angry insanity humor that nearly every TV sitcom tries to emulate nowadays. Galifianakis is certainly a Ferrell disciple and it should be high comedy watching both of these guys play headstrong idiots on the campaign trail.

Adams takes the stand, Tatum protects the POTUS

(BauerGriffin, FameFlyNet)
- Variety reports Amy Adams is in talks to star in Dark Places, an adaptation of Gillian Flynn's crime novel. The story finds Adams as the lone survivor of her family's massacre as she takes the stand to testify against her brother who did the deed. No word yet as to who will play the brother. Adams is one of Hollywood's hardest working and smartest actresses. She has a penchant for quality projects as evidenced by her 2012 release schedule: she will appear in Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master and in Trouble with the Curve opposite Clint Eastwood this year.
- Channing Tatum has reportedly landed a lead role in Roland Emmerich's new action extravaganza. He is set to play a secret service agent who must save the president in White House Down. Emmerich is known for his big budget action epics: Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, and 10,000 BC. Tatum has already had a big year with 21 Jump Street and it appears his star will only rise. He is currently slated to play a stripper in Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike, which will debut June 29th.

Gravity pushed to 2013
George Clooney will have to wait until 2013 for Gravity.
Bad news for one of 2012's most anticipated films. Alphonso Cuaron's reportedly effects-heavy sci-fi project Gravity, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, has officially been delayed until 2013. The film was originally slated for a November release but will now debut sometime next year. This obviously kills any Oscar prospects the movie had for next year's awards show. Cuaron, who directed Y Tu Mamá También, has not made a feature film since 2006's amazing Children of Men. He is considered one of the industry's true visionaries. Here is a description of Gravity via Slashfilm:
Sandra Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky [George Clooney] in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone–tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.
